OUR SOLUTION

Finally, the hardware is created, and intelligence has to be associated with hardware. First, the hardware has to be plugged in. Afterwards, the use of a microcontroller is necessary to convert the written code by the team to the electronic components. After long weeks of research, trial and error and brainstorming, the code was written in Arduino. Arduino is a software that allows a user to write code and send it to microcontroller; in order to control all sorts of motors, current regulator, LED’s .

 

Actually, the code was challenging brain work. Finding a method by combining the knowledge learned from the course of informatics and long hours of research on google creates a feeling of satisfaction because it can be copy pasted for all the motors. Synchronization of all the motors had to be included in the code, which is not easy because DC-motor are not accurate enough. Tips and tricks that are explained by the teachers help along the process. Teachers gave students tips and tricks, because the students had to think about the matter and resolve the problem themselves.The final result is impressive (figures above). All the mechanical and electronic parts are assembled into one robot. All the knowledge of three students was assembled in a working robot, which can remove a wooden block from the tower and lay the wooden block on the top of the tower.
